বাংলার উর্বর মাটিতে যেমন সোনা ফলে, ঠিক তেমনি পরগাছাও জন্মায়! একইভাবে, বাংলাদেশে কতকগুলো রাজনৈতিক পরগাছা রয়েছে, যারা বাংলার মানুষের বর্তমান দুঃখ-দূর্দশার জন্য দায়ী।

শেখ মুজিব নিহত হলেন তার নিজেরই সেনাবাহিনীর হাতে অথচ তাকে হত্যা করতে পাকিস্তানীরা সংকোচবোধ করেছে। (বিবিসি-১৫ আগস্ট ১৯৭৫।)

বঙ্গবন্ধুর নিহত হবার সংবাদ শুনে মিশরের প্রেসিডেন্ট আনোয়ার সাদাত এতটাই দুঃখ পেয়েছিলেন যে,তিনি আক্ষেপ করে বলেছিলেন- “তোমরা আমার ই দেয়া ট্যাং দিয়ে আমার বন্ধু মুজিব কে হত্যা করেছ! আমি নিজেই নিজেকে অভিশাপ দিচ্ছি”। 

দেশ, স্বাধীনতা 

 তুমি আসবে বলে হে স্বাধীনতা সকিনা বিবির কপালে ভাঙলো, সিথির সিদুঁর মুছে গেল হরিদাসীর”- শামসুর রাহমান।

যদি একটি দেশকে দুর্নীতিমুক্ত এবং সুন্দর মনের মানুষের জাতি হতে হয়, তাহলে আমি দৃঢ়ভাবে বিশ্বাস করি এ ক্ষেত্রে তিনজন সামাজিক সদস্য পার্থক্য এনে দিতে পারে। তারা হলেন বাবা, মা এবং শিক্ষক।
